How to braid with five strands (flat braid)
How to make Espadrilles
Переглядів 111 тис.10 років тому
This is my second video about making Espadrilles. Here I am showing you how to make the fabric part and sew it onto the braided sole. I am not a professional shoe-maker, this is just how I did my first pair. It is lined and has a padded insole - you could probably make it simpler, but this turned out really well.

Making Shoe Soles Part 1a: 4 strand braided soles
Переглядів 56 тис.13 років тому
In this video I am showing you how you use your four strand braids to make shoe soles You can download the booklet from my blog: ofdreamsandseams.blogspot.co.at (it's on the right side)
What is the "professional stuff" you put on the bottom of the shoes?
Did you make a distinction between the right and left sole or are both the same? And how did you determine the size?
It should be straight lasted. It becomes right and left after you use it

I’m going to try to weave copper wire it should go well thanks for the awesome video
YaY! Finally someone who can teach this method so we can understand! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU
thank you for this tutorial! I love the idea of a natural fiber sole that will last! The pliers are a food idea, I saw one guy use sort of a thimble for the palm of his hand. it was like a metal circle with an elastic bracelet on each side with the circle in the center of his palm for pushing the needle through
It's called a sailor's palm! They're very useful for this kind of heavy work.
Lovely
Nice🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Благодарю Вас что делитесь информацией. Очень интересно
Thanks I am doing a copper wire trinket and didn't know
Stuff that seems so simple is truely got a very eloquent appeal to it I like it looks kind of like the Celtic not I some how don't seem to get the patterning right this technic looks interesting and easier to do
Αmazing !
You've saved my last-minute ren faire bracelet! Thank you!
Funnily enough im actually watching this to braid the wires of a computer fan together to make it not tangle anymore.
Your the best 😋 thank u
Best, and simpliest tutorial so far.
ok this is a good trick for 3d printers my 3d printer has 19 wires in the print head and luckly they can be broken down in to 4, 4wire braids and one 3 wire braid it does take a little more time wiring the first time but it does save time when you have to do anything with the wiring
oh this is the best explanation I've ever seen by far
Thanks for sharing, looks easy but it is not.😊
Wow, this is super easy and helpful.
No kidding! This was the first one I ever watched; the first time I EVER branched out on a braiding thing beyond a basic three strand braid. Ooo i was nervous about trying. But your demo made it clear as a bell and easy as pie. I really went to town. Then. A long lapse without braiding (everything in the house lol) when I got the urge to fo some. But I needed a refresher and came to the videos. I chose probably the first one up. Lo- n behold, that different tutorial did a little differently, somehow. I thot,- hey, that's not what i did before! I looked this tutorial up and, how easy it is. All that to say, yes. i agree with commentor before me. VERY EASY TO FOLLOW. GREAT JOB.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that you take the time for this comment - it put a smile on my face❤️
Super

Easy, breezy, beautiful - thank you!!
Congratulations and thanks so much! You made a frustrated autistic young adult confidently make four stranded braids. I love you.
Thank you do much
Omg, I have been having troubles figuring this out, but now I finally get it! Thank you so much 😊👍👍👍👍
Gracias
Hi... you ignore the benefit of the contact , and massage this natural fiber give at your feets ? why a cover ?
Good question! I finde it easier to attach the shoe to the sole with hidden seams this way, and the cord I used for the soles is quite rough. But you could just attach the upper part of the shoe to the soles directly, too, if that is your preference! Sorry for the late response!
Thank you so much for this do you have a video for 8 strands?
No, not so far! Sorry I didn’t see your question earlier. I made videos for 5 and 6 strands, but nobody seemed interested in those…
Wellllll..... I mean... uhm.... That was short and sweet! 💕💕💕💕💕😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
This literally got me to understand the concept after just 60 seconds. You did an amazing job explaining this. Breaking it down into those two steps and explaining that you just repeat them over and over made it so simple. Thanks!
Couldn't find any good tutorials when searching about speaker cable, but this is really simple! Thank you!
1:38 "to make my shoe soles" ..... you *do* mean shoe *laces* , right? Heheh. Or amI missing something? :O
Fkin too quick
You could make photocopies and put that away in acid free wrapping.
This is the same braid for covering hangers! Good to know! Thanks.
I love this. So many different ways to braid my audio cables.
